Taxes imposed by local parish Police Jury’s in which all video services are taxed.
The FCC allows local telephone companies to recover certain costs for providing telephone number portability to its customers. Telephone number portability allows residential and business customers to retain, at the same location, their existing local telephone numbers when switching from one local telephone service provider to another. The LNP Charge is a fixed, monthly charge. Local telephone companies may continue to assess this charge on their customers’ telephone bills for five years from the date the local telephone company first began itemizing the charge on the bill. This charge is not a tax.
Louisiana tax on intrastate telecommunication services such as intrastate calls

A credit balance will be refunded three months after service has been disconnected as long as there are no payments due. Carlyss Cablevision customers will receive a credit balance within two months following disconnection.
Your deposit is applied to your account balance after six consecutive months with no past due balances.
A reconnection fee is assessed because the service to your home requires reprogramming after it has been disconnected.
The Expanded Local Calling Service (ELCS) enables customers to call areas for a flat monthly charge versus a per-minute long distance charge
The total minutes used for Local Optional Service (LOS) calls are displayed on your bill. A detail of these calls may be requested from customer service for a fee.
Res, Main, 1 Party is a Monthly charge for residential phone service.
The Emergency 911 Service charge is a charge imposed by local governments to help pay for the provisions of 9-1-1 emergency telecommunications service.
This Louisiana tax is used to provide access to all public telecommunications services to persons who are deaf, blind or have other similar handicaps.
The Louisiana Access Charge is approved by the Public Service Commission to compensate the local phone company for part of the cost of providing local telephone lines associated with state service, such as intrastate long distance and local exchange services.
This charge funds discounts for telecommunication services to schools, libraries, rural health care providers, low income customers and to local telephone companies to serve high-cost areas.
This charge, which is approved by the Federal Communications Commission compensates the local phone company for part of the cost of providing local telephone lines associated with interstate services, such as interstate long distance.

The Pushbutton Line is the monthly charge for pushbutton tone and service on your telephone line. The Pushbutton Charge located under “Optional Services” on your bill is a one-time charge for the installation of tone on the telephone line.

Fastwyre Broadband accepts payments through Discover, MasterCard or Visa bank debit cards either in person, by phone or by mailing in your payment stub with your credit card information.
Bank Draft is a convenient way to pay your bill each month. Contact our business office at 1-833-463-FAST(3278) to request an authorization form. Complete the form, attach a voided check, and return it to our office for processing. Once we have verified your bank information, your monthly bill will be drafted from your bank account automatically. Please allow two to three billing cycles upon Fastwyre Broadband’s receiving your authorization form for your monthly bill to be drafted from your bank account.
The FCC Access Charge that appears on your telephone bill is a charge for using long distance carrier circuits for originating and terminating calls.
Charges on your telephone bill labeled “non-local charges” are charges for services not regulated by the State Public Utility Commission.
The Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) charge is assessed to all telecommunications companies with interstate operations, including long distance carriers, wireless companies and payphone companies. The amount collected funds telecommunications service discounts to schools, libraries, rural health care providers and low-income customers.
Telecommunications companies are required by both the FCC and State Public Utility Commissions to identify the charges on their bills as either local or non-local and to indicate the taxes associated with these classifications.
OCC stands for Other Charges and Credits and includes installation fees on services.
A Partial Month Charge will appear on your bill when you add service between billing periods. Your bill will be prorated for the number of days during the billing cycle that you had service.
The Outside Plant Link Connection Charge is an installation charge for the connection of the telephone line from the telephone company office to a terminal that is closest to the customer location.
The CO (Central Office) Line Termination Charge applies to the switching and connecting of all calls. The Central Office is the building where the subscribers’ lines are joined to the switching equipment to connect calls.
The Drop Link Interface Charge is a charge for the interface of the telephone company network on the customer’s premises. The interface enables the modular connection of the customer’s inside wiring to the telephone access line.
PIC stands for Primary Interexchange Carrier, also known as Pre-Subscribed Interexchange Carrier. Your PIC is the long distance carrier you have chosen to carry your long distance calls.
A PIC change charge will appear on your bill if you change your long distance carrier.
In order to place a long distance call from your home phone, you must select a long distance carrier, also known as a PIC.
If you accept collect calls or charge calls to your home phone, these calls may be carried through a different long distance provider than your PIC. Also, if you place a long distance call using another carrier’s identification code then these charges will appear on your bill.
