This area (195 homes and 3 businesses) is not as dense as the rest of the town. In lower-density situations, we ask for community commitments to ensure we can cover most of our construction costs.

One word: Hurricanes. We began deploying fiber in Moss Bluff and Carlyss in 2007. Since then, we have had many hurricanes, and our networks have performed very well with minimal interruptions. It takes a little longer, and involves a lot of digging, but we promise to be as neat as possible and stay in the right of way.

We currently offer fiber to homes and businesses with speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps). Higher speeds will be available later in 2023. Each piece of equipment placed in a home or business (called an Optical Network Terminal) can deliver 10 Gbps.
