Social Media Policy

Fastwyre Broadband is present among various social media platforms and hopes to both inform and engage a community of users sharing information and holding conversations within each one. Your input and participation is encouraged and appreciated across all Fastwyre Broadband social media platforms. We always welcome our community to join in discussions, ask questions, share views and provide insight as long as the nature of these posts are not offensive, abusive, defamatory, vulgar or inappropriate.

It is our hope that the comments sections on our social media platforms can yield an environment conducive to positive and constructive interactions. Counter-speech in the form of accurate information and alternative viewpoints can help create a safer and more respectful environment. We encourage all of our users to keep comments and discussion constructive and kind, but we are aware that some content can be abusive or harmful to the rest of the community seeking useful and important information.

For that reason, we have adopted Facebook’s Community Standards as our own. Our Community Standards aim to find the right balance between giving people a place to express themselves and promoting a welcoming and safe environment for everyone. When engaging or posting to Fastwyre Broadband social media channels, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Please do not use profanity. Fastwyre Broadband reserves the right to hide or delete comments and/or ban users if deemed appropriate in regards to profane content and obscene gestures.
  • Please do not post inappropriate or distasteful content. This includes bullying, abusive, threatening, harmful, graphic, unlawful, harassing, slanderous or defamatory material and personal attacks on individuals or employees of Fastwyre Broadband. We have zero tolerance for any behavior that puts people in danger, whether someone is organizing or advocating real-world violence or taking part in online bullying of others. We allow you to speak freely on matters and people of public interest, but Facebook’s Community Standards do not allow content that appears to purposefully target private individuals with the intention of degrading or shaming them. Fastwyre Broadband will never tolerate content that is sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise hateful or distasteful. This content will be immediately deleted, and the user will be banned as there are no exceptions for this conduct.
  • We do not allow spamming or swaying the current topic of conversation. Please do not comment misinformation and keep comments on topic and relevant to the issue at hand. Fastwyre Broadband reserves the right to ban users spamming comments with profanity, harassment or defamation towards Fastwyre Broadband.
  • Do not use multiple accounts for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users. Fastwyre Broadband reserves the right to ban suspicious users or those posting from multiple accounts. Requiring people to use their authentic identity on Facebook helps motivate all of us to act responsibly.

By posting on any content on the Fastwyre Broadband social media platforms, you are agreeing that your post complies with these Guidelines and does not contain any of the restricted content listed above. Please note, however, that we may remove any comment or post that we believe does not comply. Fastwyre Broadband will periodically review its social media policy and make updates or changes as necessary to ensure that it is effective in maintaining its Community Standards.
